founded in 1983 to preserve and promote
the square dance activity throughout
the State and surrounding areas.

of the square dance activity; present membership consists of organizations primarily associated with modern square dance (also known as
modern western square dance) and round dance activities.

license plates or Square Dance License Plates available to members of its member organizations.
Information on Square Dance License Plates

The Council maintained a toll free telephone number for the convenience of people seeking
New Jersey Square Dance Information. Newcomers to the activity interested in classes as well
as experienced dancers seeking information on dances out of their area were able to use this service.(This was a joint project with the Federation of Delaware Valley Square and Round Dancers.) The Council decided to discontinue this venture following the outing at Great Adventure.
We had a wonderful 1999 convention at the South Brunswick High School. If you missed it, you missed a good time.

The Council supported the 49 th National Square Dance Convention
